Accessibility at Coco Market

Last updated June 16, 2026

"Everyone welcome" is not just our tagline. It's how we try to build everything, from our website to the way our markets feel in person. We're committed to making Coco Market usable and welcoming for as many people as possible, including people with disabilities, and we treat accessibility as ongoing work rather than a finished checkbox.

On this website

We aim for our site to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. We consider the site partially conformant: we've built in many accessibility practices, and we're still improving. Measures in place include:

  • Semantic, structured HTML with clear headings so screen readers can navigate easily.
  • A "skip to content" link and keyboard-accessible navigation, including the mobile menu.
  • Support for your device's reduced-motion setting: animations calm down automatically if you've asked your system to limit motion.
  • Text alternatives (alt text) for meaningful images.
  • Attention to color contrast and a base text size of 16px, with layouts that adapt to phones, tablets, and zoom.
  • Form fields with visible labels and clear focus states.

Known limitations

We want to be honest about where we're still working:

  • Some embedded or third-party content, such as maps, calendar links, and social media, is provided by outside services and may not fully meet our accessibility standards.
  • A small amount of older imagery and some pages are still being reviewed and improved.
  • The site has not yet been through a formal third-party accessibility audit; our conformance claims are based on our own ongoing review.

If something on the site is getting in your way, please tell us. See "Contact us" below. We'll do our best to help you get the information you need and to fix the issue.

At our markets

Coco Market is a free, outdoor, community wellness event, and we want everyone to feel they belong there. Our venues vary, and some are gardens or parks with natural terrain. If you have specific access needs (mobility, seating, a quiet space, a companion or aide, a service animal, or anything else), we'd love to know ahead of time so we can help you have a good experience. Reach out before the market and we'll do what we can to accommodate you.

You can find practical details about visiting (seating, what to bring, parking, our animal policy, and more) on our FAQ page.

Contact us about accessibility

If you run into an accessibility barrier on this site or have a request for one of our events, please email us at [email protected]. It helps if you can tell us the page or event, what happened, and the device or assistive technology you were using. We aim to respond within a few business days, and we're glad to provide information in an alternative format if you need it.
